Ginger Pride Parade

Scrolling through the list of stories on bigthink.com, I have recently come across a story that was very interesting. A homo sexual comedian by the name of Shawn Hitchens, also a ginger, created a "Ginger Pride" parade to show that all the gingers of the world must stick together. He, himself was an outcast because he was a ginger... and a homo sexual. This is something that a lot of people can relate to, only in the sense of feeling left out, not being a ginger or a homo sexual. I remember watching the episode of South Park when they first came out with the word "Ginger" when one of the main characters thought being ginger was a disease called "Gingervitis", a play on words of the mouth disease Gingivitis. I never knew that people with red hair and freckles take the word Ginger the wrong way, or they think it's funny and they joke about it. I know that there are gay-pride parades, I know that there is a thanksgiving day parade every year, but this is interesting; a Ginger parade.
